Sorry to hear he passed, but he made a big mark while he was alive. He was a master at pushing people's buttons and pulling the strings. A true cultural giant.

Thomas Campbell

Thomas spent a day in the studio last week working on editions for his upcoming show at Gregory Lind Gallery. Definitely stoked on this guy's trip. He has so many things happening: film, music, photography, visual art... the list is endless. It's not often I'm able to work with artists side by side. Wish it happened more often. Love hearing what makes them go. We are a peculiar and opinionated bunch.

Broken Bells

This poster was for a secret show in LA. I've heard a few tracks from the album and it sounds good. I'm a Shins fan. Bummed they're done. Eager to give this one a good listen.

Tucker Nichols

I'm a little late on this one, but here's a piece Tucker Nichols contributed to Dave Egger's latest issue of McSweeny's. I heard Dave on the radio not long ago and he had some insightful things to say about newspapers and print media in general. He's putting his money where his mouth is, too. Buy one.

I got an email telling me I won! I smelled scam. My ever supportive wife swelled with pride and told me I just had to claim the trophy. Upon further investigation, I was proven correct. Again. It is a pretty dope trophy though. If you ever "win" an award that requires you to pay money, you really haven't won shit, have you?

Happy New Year

Happy belated New Year, people. I'm probably not the only one glad to turn the page on 2009. 2010 sounds so futuristical. Here's to health, prosperity and peace in the new decade.

Just handed work over to Mark Giglio for the upcoming Printed Matter group show at Giant Robot. Always good to catch up and see what he's doing. Skulls lend a nice Christmas vibe.
